Clearly taking a while to shift!
I'd feel more inclined to look at that if it were £2k.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1988-BMW-750-IL-750il-LW...

£995 just scares me.

ked off with cars. Next one is coming from a main dealer, with at least two years warranty.Don't get too excited just yet guys, just idle thinking on my part.
I've not taken any snaps of it since I've owned it but here's one that was in the PH advert:

The lower side of the drivers door is showing abit of rust and the are one or two areas where the lacquer is looking a little untidy. But this sort of appealed to me as it's liberating not having to worry as much as I used to when it comes to parking.
Previously I owned this S2 and was paranoid about leaving it anywhere!

Yes it's Avus Blue with silver/grey leather seats. Not sure how true this is but I've led to believe that there were only ever four 540i Manuals produced in Avus Blue. It's just rolled over 130k so it's by no means low but no where near as high as some I've seen for sale.
And you're quite right, it's a 1996 so right at the very end of their run. Interestingly it's not as well specced as other 'high-end' BMWs of the same vintage as it doesn't have A/C or Electric Seats but from speaking to Phil at CPC he seems to think that a lack of A/C can sometimes be a blessing as it can cost a fortune to fix (which I can vouch for as my Mum wanted her A/C fixed on her little 316i but they quoted her £1400!).
As for the S2, I owned that for the best part of 6 years and enjoyed every minute of it. Prior to that I owned a 2.0 8v Coupe and was so impressed with the build quality and comfort that the next logical step would be the same car but with a hell of alot more punch.

I just had a mooch round it. Bodywork straight no dings or rust. A few small scratches though. Drivers bolster a bit squished. Avons/Dunlops with decent tread. FSH with all invoices apparently. Towbar obviously.
I may be interested...

Cheers Matt, I thoroughly enjoyed owning that car but if I'm honest spent more money on it than it ever needed but the result was a very well sorted point to point pocket rocket.

Nice, how much are you looking for for it?
I'll be honest, I've had no inclination to sell it until spying that 750i! I paid a smidge over £2k for it back in March of last year which was perhaps on the high side in the scheme of things but back then this was one of only two on the market and the other one was up for £3k and was certainly not the better car for it.hornetrider said:

Looks decent and well priced. Just don't like cars advertised in car parks but maybe I'm being picky. Sounds like a good one though - has he given an offer on your 728?http://autotrader.mobi/used-cars/advert/2012174664...
