not long been back from Amsterdam for the 3rd time and did Prague back in 07. Amsterdam is very good but expensive and a weed ban for tourists comes in place Jan 2013 which IMO will kill off stag/birthday tourism to the city. Prague was abit quieter but very cheap in the supermarkerts (14p for a can of beer, £2.50 for a bottle of vodka) £3 a pint in there huge nightclub that locals avioded as it was a ripoff, average about £2 a beer when out. lots of strip clubs
Amsterdam is looking exceedingly seedy IMO. I think the trick for a good stag do is to go somewhere not well known for stag dos. Berlin is a good party town, for example.

March / April 2013.

Perhaps Krakow is not a good idea at that time of year??
wait and see what happens reference Amsterdam ban, no coffeeshops and red light distright in a city where entry into clubs is strict for british guys will not be much fun...

Prague will be fairly mild, these places are popular all year round (unless you go when the german beer festival is on like we did!)

i guess the same applies to Krakow, Prague is a stunning city (both buildings and women wink )

Amsterdam should be able to stand up as a classy European capital rather than the seedy city everyone sees it as. I can see why they are wanting to get rid of that image tbh.

As for the stag do, I'd head East. Amsterdam is too expensive and too touristy. Eastern cities are a bit more adventurous and exciting for a group of lads I reckon. Plus they are rammed with high class totty.

Been to Prague twice and it is great, stunning city and plenty of the other stuff as well. I was also in Amsterdam last year for a stag do and didn't like the place at all, not a nice city at all.

To be fair to the dutch, the police etc have really cleaned up the city, drug dealers/general crack heads were down about 80% compared to my other 2 visits in the past 8 years and the vibe is alot more relaxed

but yes head east to save atleast a 3rd of your money. i spent £750 over 3 days in Amsterdam and could of spent more..(flights and accom included) Prague was about £300....

Belgium has always appealed to me. Close enough to drive and plenty of interesting beers to sample.

Anyone wanto recommend any package companies or is it better to do our own thing?

Just been browsing www.chillisauce.co.uk and it seems pretty good - liking the Shooters & Hooters package in Prague!

Antwerp has got quite a seedy side to it (which shocked me to be honest) if that's your thing. It also has stupendously strong beer.

Hamburg is another place that is a good place to go for a weekend-plenty of stripclubs to amuse yourself in.

Prague would be a good choice. If you're feeling adventurous, then I fully recommend St Petersburg in Russia.

Finland and Norway are both excellent places to go for a weekend but very expensive. The women more than make up for it though.
