United need a replacement for Hargreaves. A De Rossi type player.

No point spending a fiver on him, I could replace Hargreaves of the last few years for half the price. I'll even take a pay cut on his contract.

We've been linked to that Everton lad for ages...glad we haven't ever made the move though as I suspect he would turn into another Anderson with enough time.

Rooney's a forward. I can't see him being a replacement for Scholes now or ever
Scholes was a forward too...

The funny thing is, Utd have spent just as much money on the Glazers as owners, as City have to buy a Championship winning team.
And since the start of the EPL, you've spent more than United and won fk all.

Jammy, consider yourself well and truly chastised.

This is the Utd thread, the place for the discerning and educated footballist.

Not a Utd fanbut since the Glazers took over 6? years ago, Utd have 4 League titles, a Champion's League and probably a league cup I think. Also I don't have figures to hand but that doesn't seem correct. City have spent much more than UTD I would think

fk all? In the 6 years that you've spent half a billion on the Glazers, we've won 1 Champions League, an FA Cup, a League Cup and a Charity Shield. In comparison to the other big clubs, Arsenal have won sweet FA, City have won 1 FA Cup and 1 EPL, and Chelsea have won 2 EPLs, 4 FA Cups, 1 League Cup and 1 Community Shield. Not the biggest haul by a long shot, but far from fk all. If that is your idea of fk all, then I can only presume that you label the amount you've wasted on the Glazers as fk all too.

And chastised? Pretty weak argument to be chastised - or were you referring to last night Audi?! wink

Yes, you've won, comparatively, fk all, for all the investment you've made.

Because a few knockout cups puts you where we were in the 70s and 80s - in the wilderness, stumbling from nearly men to disaster as each season went by.

Which wouldn't be too bad, if you hadn't spent more than anyone bar Chelski and Mansour City.
