Supercar Meeting: Riverside Museum, Sun 30 Sept
Discussion
Just off the phone to the event managers at Riverside Museum, Glasgow. Sunday 30 Sept (time will be confirmed, but likely to be 10am - 3pm or thereabouts)
I thought it would be good to have an end "summer" rendezvous of supercars at a static event with undercover areas if (or when) it rains. And it's very handy for many of you - both in terms of participation or as a visitor.
still room for more as of saturday 29th - 3pm Post interest on here.
The area we'll be parked on is directly in front of the main entrance to the museum, on the very large hard-standing. It's well used by car clubs and providing at least some of us hang around the cars, it's relatively safe and extremely photogenic.
UPDATE AS OF 3pm SATURDAY 29TH
ATTENDEES:

Steelej.........Ferrari F430
kmm.............Audi RS4

darn my rx7 only does 159mph
Defining "supercar" is always a challenge. KD if you can only do 159 - you should be ok for the 23rd road run - half of it is downhill!

Think steelej is at a loose end that day?

Scottish 16M has some criteria he uses for his club, mostly by marque, but no mention of top speed being a benchmark.

Not that worried how Supercar is defined, but I'll see who's interested. Hope John will make it. It would be good to have more than one 430 there. KD if you can only do 159 - you should be ok for the 23rd road run - half of it is downhill!

Some of mine do 175mph, if pushed out of an aircraft at 30000ft. Do they qualify?

Hi Graham,
Yeah no runs on that day so i'd love to come along if that's ok.

I'll drop you an email also with the required details.

John.

I've just agreed to go on a run with the Rover P6 club
. If it all goes pear shaped I can come in either the Bentley GT (198mph) or Noble (185mph).
Hope you can make it, but I also don't want to spoil any other events.

It's not in relation to anything else, it's just a good excuse for anyone local to park up and have a chat whilst letting the public have a look at some nice metal. It's also about time to let Glasgow owners take their cars to somewhere a little more "local" than Aberdeen or Edinburgh

If we get a dozen cars, to be honest, I'll be happy. The more the merrier of course. I'm trying to ensure we'll have at least one Countach, maybe the Diablo 6.0VT, F430 (or two), GTR, whatever Paul can bring if he's not on holiday, and the chance of other exotics too. I'll also give Andy at Lambo a call and see if he's interested. I don't think that Aventador is going anywhere until October
