I used to live in the same village as Neville from Auf Wiedersehen Pet.

And worked in a pub back in the 80's, recently owned by Mark Webbers missus. Used to get Bob Monkhouse and Barry Mcguigan eating in there quite regularly (not together)

Somewhere in the loft of my mum's house is a washboard that once belonged to Lonnie Donegan. Think my dad may have nicked it.

Just had my memory jogged by BBC4. smile

My paternal grandfather queued up in the same dole queue as the bloke who banged the gong at the beginning of Rank Organisation films.

Donkey's years ago I just missed running over Keke Rosberg when he was out jogging on a foggy morning. If he hadn't been in the middle of the road I would have got him.

I was at primary school with Susan George. I don't remember even speaking to her.

Queuing at check-in at Dublin airport once, John Aldridge was stood ahead of me counting a massive wad of cash.

Last night I was at my wife's mate's mum's wedding reception. Sat next to me was some good looking dude who is apparently my wife's mate's mum's best-mate's son and also on Coronation Street. I wouldn't have known unless I'd been told, but I did think I sort of recognised him.

Not sure what he is called, but I'd rather he wasn't sat next to me as he made me feel even more not that good looking.

Also, he wasn't trying it on with any 12 year olds, which was nice.

I went to school with Tracy Shaw, who played Maxine Peacock in Coronation Street. She was always in the tabloids and lads mags a few ears ago. Nice girl, very pretty.

OH's sister knows, and occasionally competes against, Zara Phillips. Nice girl. Very down to earth and normal.

I would have liked to have been retrospectively connected to Barbara Bach in more ways than one in the 70s. wink

What I mean is that I was under 6 in the 70s, but if I had been older in the 70s or if she was the same oh forget it, you know what I mean. Don't ya?

I once employed a bloke as sales manager to learn later that he'd sung with the band Coco in the Eurovision song contest (he also claimed to have had sex with Susan George once at a drunken party, this may or may not be true though)
