Struggling not to push the "buy it" button on a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers today...
I already failed. Ordered through redhotsunglasses with next day deliver and a 10% off code for £107. Not bad.
Not to heap pain, but to encourage others, go to Amazon and they are even cheaper, with free delivery anyway http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_nr_p_lbr_brands_b...

There is no excuse now wink

I did look at Amazon but I am sometimes wary of who the resellers are and I'm quite paranoid about buying fake sunglasses biggrin

Try www.roweleather.com for some lovely, hand-made shell cordovan leather wallets. I found this on another forum I frequent and they are just beautiful *and*, they would be perfect for our UK notes smile

Apologies in advance for any money you may be about to spend as a result biggrin
They do look quite nice in a rustic sort of way.

However, is it just me or is there no way to buy or even see the price of the fking things on that website? Puts me right off immediately. Maybe they're trying to create an aura of exclusivity or something but in reality they're just being a pain in the arse.

[Columbo]Oh, just one more thing.[/Columbo] I'm guessing that the guy that makes them has the name Rowe, but is it really that clever to name his website roweleather.com when there is already an established leather company with the url rowesleather.com? For a product trying to come across as a bit classy it smacks of schysterism, although I do believe it's a coincidence.

Fellow PHers,

I need some inspiration. I'm getting married soon and I need to buy some gifts for the men in my life. The nore frivolous the better but I only have a budget of £50-60ish to buy 6 presents. I was tempted to but a selection of squirrels but they are way over budget.

Over to you...

Had the same problem recently. Cufflinks are good. Debenhams have a great range at reasonable prices.

You reminded me of weebl and bob.

Mmmm pie.

My latest frivolity was 2 3tb NAS hard-drives
a D-link NAS case
2 wireless routers
lots of cable.

Should be an interesting project.

3 computers really are not enough. That's why I've got 5 in my little office here(nice and toasty in winter). And another 4 in the basement. Plus a Pi and a couple of PS3's.

However, if you'd like a new wallet, let me draw your attention to this thread.

It hasn't arrived yet. My first son asked for the Vanessas Lunchbox then he was twelve days old, that was actually better than I remembered.

For my birthday my colleagues treated me to a selection of Airfix and Revell models. Having not built any models since I was a child I'm a bit low on supplies, I got a bit carried away last night and splurged £40 on paint, glue, brushes and craft knives.

Trying to work out if I'll get into less trouble building them at work or home.

It's probably my fault, as I didn't explain fully. I believe the gent in question makes leather watch straps in his spare time. He put a post up showing a wallet that he'd made for himself out of some spare bits of leather he had. He had a good dozen replies to his post wondering if he could/would make other people a wallet too. So, he put some photos of the wallets up on that website above-to give us all an idea of colour etc.

I don't think he ever intended to go into the wallet making business and it was just the fact that I loved the way they looked and thought some others on this site would too, that I put my post up. If you like the way they look, just drop him an e-mail and he'll get right back to you. I'm sure he can adjust the style to suit your requirements and that the cost of the wallet would depend on that as well as the type of leather used.

They are beautiful and I will be getting one smile

That little HDD enclosure that I mentioned earlier arrived today.

Then I remembered I hadn't ordered the HDD for it yet, so ordered a 1TB 2.5" drive to go in it. And 'accidentally' also ordered a 2TB desktop HDD as I'm rapidly filling up my PC's 1TB and 500GB drives due to doing video editing.

I'm starting to get comments made at work about the amount of stuff that gets delivered for me there. paperbag

Just spent £65 on yet another model car.

And the week before:

Which was £60ish.

Seriously, I barely have enough space as it is without these new additions.

Damn you frivolous purchases!
