You have to ask why the owner hasn't just bunged on a pair of GSF springs, part worns and chucked it through a £35 MOT if its so good? Same story with every untested car.

Being a maneul kind of ruins the point of a wafter anyhoo.

I don't think this will stay in thread budget, but anyhow, obviously someone's pride and joy this one.

Needs tyres, tax, spring, MOT.

Sure it is cheap, but I'd spend the extra £300 on one that doesn't need that work...
Essentially my view not a bad car but the tyres will be £200 odd the MOT could be anybody's guess say £350 with at least a broken spring, which is not a cheap fix and possible exhaust problem. I like that car but at say £950 there are full MOT's MG cars about. Maybe a bit of spannering could reduce that but still £700 to £800 IMO.
Looks lovely, and is probably a bit of a rarity in being a manual. If you wanted it on the road cheaply (and taking the ad at face value) then that's on the road for £102 including MOT - Strut £25 from a breakers, couple of decent part worns on the front £50, MOT £27.

Sort the other bits out as you go - though it does sound like it has early stage VIS failure, which is a bit of a pain.

Sound like the £400 is negotiable too.

The enquiry is complete. The vehicle details for S715 LLX are:
Date of Liability 01 01 2014
Date of First Registration 22 01 1999
Year of Manufacture 1999
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2783cc
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status SORN Not Due
Vehicle Colour SILVER
Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

Ad states that it's taxed until October - so it's just been taxed, and was previously SORNed from when it was MOTd

Why? Those T6s are one of the few cars that I'm not sure I'd take a risk on. And I'm not risk averse, usually!

Also, I don't see how 6 months tax for that is £77!

That should go well over thread budget, maybe dangerously close to two bags?

But what the juddering fk is that boot box thing hanging off the back?!?! It looks very odd. A nice left field solution to a saloon and no roof bars, but I'm not convinced it works for me....

It's a ski rack.

One of the rarer additions for these cars.

Ski rack? Why's it got a bloody suit case attached to it then. Unless you're a dwarf you're not gonna get your skis in there! hehe

Because you can attach other stuff to it as well as skis!

The engine bay is just nasty IMO.

The problem with that car isn't the engine bay, but the overall colour.

It does look tired, but it'd be interesting to know how long you could smoke one of these if you concentrated on essential mechanicals and left all the peripheral bits to break (or even removed them pre-emptively...)
Interesting idea. Don't think you'd need to remove them in advance, though. Just expect things to stop working that shouldn't affect safety or ability to get to your destination. Might do the experiment next time I get a bargain car.
I thought you already had a bargain car you hadn't serviced in four years..
I mean the next one. I just got a Polo which I'll drive until it dies. 3 weeks on and I'm still pleased I got a small engined automatic when I fall out of the gym and have to drive through rush hour traffic. So handy.

Just because we're getting near 500 pages doesn't mean you can start getting picky hehe
