Bearing in mind some of us will be on motorways for 3/4 of an hour to get to Thurrock there seems to be quite a lot of additional motorway riding on your route Sc0tt. Are there any back roads we could take?
Plenty

But everyone moaned! cough pete cough

edit - Ill make another route in an hour and we can see whats what.

It won't be near as busy as last time.
That was when I thought a 9:30am start. At 7:30 the towns will be fine with empty roads linking them.

I could meet you at the BP at Fyfield if you like (I will be coming from Chelmsford). The rest of them should be there at about 9ish

I'm planning on joining but haven't put my name down as a definite just in case the weather is too bad. Really hope the temperature pick-up for the weekend.

I know that route pretty well - some of my favourite roads.

Is it the McDs in the Lakeside retail park? Are you leaving there about 8.30?

Yeah cool - I think I know where that is.

The weather will be cloudy with breaks of sun - most importantly no rain and in double figures. So should be fine.

I am 90% coming - along with my BiL (k4 gsxr600) & his neighbour (H-D).

I'll be squid-like and my BiL will have all the gear but no idea. hehe

I wanted to get my Polish mate out who has just bought a k8 gsxr750 but he's working. He is actually mental. So maybe it's good he doesn't come.

So where are the "lateys" meeting?

Andy/Pete - am I just meeting at 08:20, ready to leave at Andy's work? Where do we then meet the others? It will be 08:50/09:00 before we can be at Mcdonalds in Lakeside.

The route I mailed last night is actually the same as Sc0tts. If we miss them, I don't think we'll have any problems catching up - there's an HD on the ride now... biggrin

Me and scott have each others numbers so can just check in to work out who is where.

Some nice riding in that there Essex.

Lived in Billericay for a few years and used to have a great route up to the other side of Chelmsford and then onward to the Burnham bends.

Happy days.

Hi!

I've never met any of you, but I'd be up for this. It's the route I would usually do on my own anyway and I don't have anything to do at 745 on Sunday apart from sleep so why not! It will take me a while to get there from central London but hey why not.

This is provided it's not raining like crazy, in which case I may well crack on with sleep.
Also I ride very slowly, having only been out of London once since last summer!

I know the Burnham Bends - but no idea how to get there. If our route takes us that way, I know a decent cafe in a boatyard around there.

Our route isn't really going near there, I know the cafe you mean but it's farther east than where we're going. It's a good proposed route we're doing.

We can do that route on the return.

Its 20 miles extra than coming the same way back but well worth it.

There will be a chap out taking photos in burnham aswell.
