Not a gripe - but I do wonder about the people with massive post numbers - how do you find the time, is PH your life
Well, my excuse is that when I'm at sea, I have 12 hours off time, (I wouldn't dream of perusing during work hours
), which consists of either the cabin, the canteen, or the outside deck, for 6 months of the year, and 6 months of the year when I am off work and others are doing their 9-5 jobs, and PH is as good a place to read news, views and opinion as anywhere else.

I've got to admit I've never encountered or witnessed any mod issues at all, in fact I still don't even know who the mods are on here other than Garlick (snip)
Most mods on here are superb. They are good because they do their moderation without anyone noticing it...but...there is one or maybe two mods who are blunter in the way they do things and consequently a lot of complaints are made in website feedback about them.This/these mod/s are not particularly helpful for PH or it's users.
As I say, most of the mods are superb, especially the regular ones in general motorsport.
A few:
1) The ability of some posters to deteriorate threads into a willy waving contest. This can either consist of members stating they will only use/buy the most expensive thing ever or the antithesis where anything greater than ASDA value is 'ghey'.
2) The inability of some people to simply agree to disagree. It appears on this forum more than most there is a belief that one is RIGHT. Therefore, plenty of decent threads have been ruined by members arguing over (often trivial) points in which it's simply a matter of opinion rather than a right or wrong answer.
3) Stereotyping and general
ishness. See the most recent personalised numberplate thread for a number of gold plated examples of this.

Some of the PH views of women can be quite ............... unenlightened
There are times when I am sitting on my hands going "don't reply, don't respond"

Oooo the wolves are out tonight.
Papa has upset someone already.
I've upset no-one, he offended my sensibilities with hints of unsubstantiated nonsense. I have a low tolerance threshold for idiocy. Papa has upset someone already.
It's late, ive had a rough day and this is a public forum where a bit of light relief and nonsense is the norm, even threaded through the most serious subjects.
I'll back out of this one now so you can enjoy your thread.
