Emigrating to NZ
Discussion
As Lestag mentioned, Seek is a good site to search.
Here's a search of DBA in IT & Coms for positions >$100.......
http://www.seek.co.nz/JobSearch?DateRange=31&S...
As for the degree... It is not always a prerequisite, even when stated as one, if you can show experience.

Good luck - they are a good employer, growth business and one of the few large(ish) non government options you've got.

Kiwibank is an SOE ...non government?... Yeah right .. Govt will tell them what dividend they want from kiwi bank as the 100% shareholder... But yes better than working for a proper govt dept

Jobs - look at www.geekzone.co.nz and trademe.co.nz too
Cars - http://www.nzta.govt.nz/vehicle/importing/index.ht... and speak to the AA (NZ)- Wally Gee was very helpful in confirming a few compliance issues and saved me £800 when it came to getting my car through as he told the local AA compliance place that I didn’t need the paperwork they were asking for.
Consider getting a new car - you can buy VAT free and drive it for 12 months in the UK before bringing it over and it will still be worth more than you paid for it (if you choose the right car)
General info about emigrating - britishexpats.com NZ forum
Money - NZ Forex or XE.com
And don’t fly anything other than economy - your wife will refuse to go to the back of the plane ever again if you do.

To the OP - I can't comment on your employment side but I wish you all the best.
Although it's pretty much Winter here and the mountains are covered in snow, I'm in the foothills of the Southern Alps, lovely bright sunshine, shorts and t-shirt on, patio doors wide open, watching Hamilton and Rosberg go one/two in second practice for the Monaco F1 GP.
All is well, come on over

Quick update ..... Interview ( I think ) went well..... Felt strange being interviewed in my front room lol. A couple of business questions I fluffed but other than that all good.
Apparently if this stage is successful I have to do a second interview & a numeracy and literacy online test..... Never done one of those so should be interesting.

In the interests of managing expectations... Cheddar is not within daily commuting distance of Kiwibank unless he has a jet 'copter he hasn't told us about (which would be only a mild surprise).
Good to hear the interview went well. The literacy and numeracy test is probably a baseline thing which they are obliged to do for any new employee. If you should happen to be dyslexic ( and it is surprising how many supremely talented people in the IT world are) declare it, otherwise you'll find it a doddle I'm sure.

LOL - I'm not a 5 day donkey trek from civilisation, does it sound like that? I'm in the foothills and it's 40 minutes to Christchurch from here, easy commute (although I don't) unless you're negotiating the ruinous roading right through the central city.
As for your car importation query OP - yes, bring them over, it makes straightforward financial sense and that lot will fit nicely into a 40ft container - shipping and associated compliance won't be at all prohibitive, others on here will tell you more.
A basic V8 R8 coupe costs $325,000 new in NZ (£180,000) and used ones are advertised at way way more than UK prices - you could sell yours for a very tidy profit and offset all your moving costs.
Good luck

Yep chch was a big one (well two big ones a few months apart) and pretty unexpected. Prior to that most recent serious damage I can think of was Napier in 1931, someone can correct me if I'm forgetting another.
edgecumbe and inungahuahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthquakes_in_New_Ze... for full list
and wellington is one of the risk areas...
as is most of NZhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_disasters_in_...
but to put it in perspective the 1953 north sea floods 326 people in the UK died
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_disasters_in_...
The one in 1480 (ish) would of been... interesting..

NZ has lots of earthquakes, but almost all of them are very very minor, so much so that they can be barely felt. Some areas have a few a year that you can feel, such as Hawke's Bay and Wellington. Christchurch never used to but since their big ones, they still suffer aftershocks.
Damage causing earthquakes are extremely rare, get them maybe every 25 years at some point over the country. Often these are centred where there is little population or in small towns, Christchurch 2 years ago and Napier (1931) are notable exceptions.
There's more chance of you guys dying in a plane crash on the way out here than getting injured or killed in a quake here in NZ.

Cool thanks ... Now I'm worried I don't have the necessary points because I don't have a degree.... It looks like to get the points for a skilled IT worker I need a degree.....
When I filled in the points indicator i selected "absolute skilled shortage" as I am a IT consultant/ computer programmer with over 20 years experience. But looking at the PDF for that It seems to qualify I need a degree DOH! The "future growth" area doesn't mention a degree so I have selected that which with a job offer gives me 125 points without a job offer gives me 55 points!
