If you need anything knocked up in Solidworks once you've got the dimensions then let me know. Similarly I've got a good 3D printer sitting here that can run off any prototypes you might have down to 0.1mm.

Don't offer that to George. He'll want a prototype 3D girlfriend to his own very exacting specifications smile

Cheers, I have a copy of NX7.5 so I'm alright for modelling.

Might pm you regarding the prototypes though smile

I asked the factory.....

I would guess the OEM supplier is Recaro? Bamford Mike will know!

We can of course get some made, but someone somewhere in the world has a huge bucket of them..... unlike the radio knobs!

Correspondence below with email addresses and the names at Aston Martin removed.

Ok,

if you look at this

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

You will see there is big demand for the vantage style switch heads. Are you willing to ask the OEM supplier to sell a one of batch of say 200 tops which I wll buy from you and sell on on a non profit basis to other Pistonheads participants?

The only alternative is to make our own which seems "silly".

Best

Jeremy

Mr Rudge

We would only supply the complete switch assy via our dealers, sorry we do not supply the name of the OEM manufacture details for any of our parts.

All I am seeking is the seat shaped "knob" in alloy, not the whole unit.

Are you able to supply these sperately via a dealer or only the whole unit?

If not can you let me know the OEM manufacturer and I will ask them,

Thanks

Jeremy

The later switch would not fit your car, sorry we would not supply them, you would need to contact a dealer and they would be able to give you a price.

Any way a snap on/glue on trim ring to go around the outside edge of the entire switch (similar to the Virage one) could also be designed? (I know-I am getting greedy!) That would set it off nicely since the buttons would probably be too difficult to do/install.
