Got me a Jagdpanther, which I'm very, very happy about! It's going to take a while to get used to it, but i'm sure it's going to be a lot of fun when upgraded.

On the subject of camo nets, one of the best tips I got from this thread was to purchase two and just swap them around as you play different tanks. I've done the same with binoculars too.

The other great tip I got from this thread was to buy the FMC PAk40 Tank Destroyer

I use the tactic with camo nets as well, though only on my lower tier tank destroyers. Just got the IS and started the slog to the IS-3 after just about coming out of a 3 day nightmare of consistent losses.

Is it me or is the RNG forcing a lot more losses over the last 5-6 days?

The FCM Pak40 is ok, but for me it's never been as good as the Marder was before it was 'balanced'.

No it's not just you, in fact WoT has been so bad over the last week that I dug out my old Medal of Honor CDs and made a determined effort to get it to work under Windows 7.

I was one of those odd souls who enjoyed the JagtPanzer IV grind. But once I got the JagtPanther it was a whole different world of fun. The big 105mm gun will put a smile on your face every time it smacks someone, but generally I actually stick with the 88mm. It has slightly better penetration and higher rate of fire for lower alpha damage, but its big plus point is that the shells are a quarter of the price of the 105mm shells. That makes it a great credit farmer too.

Tbh, Alan, I preferred the JPanzer IV to the Stug. Difficult to fathom out why, as I was ok in both the Jpanzer IV and the Hetzer, but not the Stug, which everyone raves about. (NB "ok" = decidedly average, rather than absolute garbage in the Stug).

Anyone know the number banding for WN6 and WN7 ratings? I'm dying to get my average up from "bad" to "below average"

To be honest I don't give a toss about the WN ratings because they seem tailored to punish people who don't play the game in the manner that someone with more time on their hands decides is the way they want me to play.

I have 4 tanks, the highest is tier 4, only play a few games a week for fun. Therefore always penalised for seal clubbing. meh.

I actually had my best game in the StuGIII. An 11 kill rampage on Dragons Ridge. I still love to take it out now and again and generally do very well when I do.

Just make sure you are using the long 75mm gun when you do. That gun makes the tank.

As for stats. don't get hung up on them. As long as you are having fun then you are being successful.

My current rating is 1590 for the last 7 days.

Overall is just 1198 due to some poor games at the start of my career.

Nice top gun in the AT2 today in a mainly tier 7 game. Majority of the opposition ignored me and engaged other tanks so I just plugged away and drove to their arty.

My play style really doesn't suit getting decent stats - often I'm the one charging forwards to break a stalemate, sure I die a lot but it means the team has a better chance of winning. If I was that bothered by stats I'd pay for 100% crews right from the start, for example.

Good work! Do you pretty much only play that TD, or do you play lots of others too?

Pretty much only play it for the doubles right now. I've about 8 tanks that I should be playing for the doubles, I usually manage to get 5 or 6 of them done in an evening. The T25 is one of the few I make sure I do.

Wz131 is a bit of an animal with the top gun. It seems to do an awful amount of damage for its tier.

Played the JagdpzrE100 today with four arties per side. 4 shots and 4 hits with more damage than any of the 8 arties.

Had to downgrade the gun on the VK3002D and it seems far better. Quick firing and good pen.

I was on fire last night, I only lost a game bcause I joined a random TC for a bit of fun. I got WN7 over 2000.

And this is a gripe I now have with wot. Arty seems less useful than a top td. Surely.in the balance of things that is wrong.
