Look a bit like an early 30s Standard to me. Do I win?

Engine and box def Standard(the box does have a remote gear change ala SS cars). Chassis I don't know the brakes not standard chuffing great 12 inch hydraulic drums and the axle again huge. So half a a point.

Oh my that is lovely! I'm not usually a fan of that m-tech kit but that is superb. I would love an e28 M5, but I'll have to make do with the 525e at the minute

Something along the lines of a 30's two seater sporty ish. Change the wheels to all 16 inch wires with narrow tyres.Show off the huge drums and a tall rad and engine hood etc. Making it up as I go

Not sure yet. Some additional info I got with this car bar any sort of paperwork was that one of the previous owners used to race it at Crystal Palace, when I don't know but prob many years ago. Could explain the twin SU's,four branch exhaust,blanked off fuel pump flange and no trace of an oil filter mount or thermostat housing ????.
All I have is the reg plate GY4896 which puts the chassis between Sept 1932-June 1933.

Fantastic collection of Moggies you have. It was my parents first car and I remember it well - a slate grey traveller estate. You don't see many Minors these days, good luck with the restorations

PoshTwit - like this one? Joining the stable next week My rather ambitious plan is to strip, have the body off, transplant Alfa 3l V6 & transaxle into chassis, coilovers all round, lpg, new daily!

Alfa V6, what top notch idea, it's going to sound amazing and go better than it was ever meant to. Even the most basic incarnation of the 3.0 had 188 bhp up its trousers. Good stuff. That's got me thinking about my standard one again, which is a good thing.

I'd like to see pictures of the 525e as well - I like them and find them interesting.
