Great ride in this morning, despite feeling a little leggy.

On fire this morning!

I had a day off yesterday after my mad thrash around Outlon Park on Sunday and it paid dividends this morning.

I threw in an extra 3 miles on my commute which included a short hill, managed 18.4mph average and 6 PRs and a personal placing on every other segment on the route biggrin

Grrrrr

Had a good ride in, managing a 16mph average over 15 miles into the City during rush hour, not too bad consider I am filtering and caught at lights fairly regularly.

Only slight issues are:

The bike seems to have loosened the bolt that holds the front brake caliper in place so it's rocking and touching the tyres (and giving very poor brake performance to boot)
When pedaling hard or standing going uphill there is a hard 'click clunk' at a similar speed to saying tick tock quickly when the left pedal is at the bottom of its travel
It regularly falls off top gear, which is annoying!!!

I think a full service is in order, may have to wait a little bit as i'm off on holiday on Friday morning (and only cycling until then) and have no time!!

Goose was back again today - didn't have a go at me, but was hissing at me nastily. I've never really liked the geese, but this one has really taken the nastiness to a new level. I may have to find a different way to work, at least for the short term.

Also ... got cramp in the night, really bad on my left leg, still sore this morning. That's why all the summer bikers got away from me ... I'm sure that was the reason!

Good work. I had one of those mornings. I set a PB on my ride to work of 37m30s, down from 39m. Will have to wait till this evening before I upload the data and see how many PB's were achieved.

Change your route to find some new segments to keep your interest up. I've started varying mine a little. Although today I had one of those days where my PRs tumbled biggrinbiggrin

Gentle run in this morning. My shoulders are aching, either it is the swim last night or it is old age catching up with me. smile I prefer to think it was the swim of course.

I was sweating a bucket on the train in this morning, maybe partially aided by the beer last night....

However back home on the broken bike this afternoon, just hope it holds up!!!!

I had the usual headwind added to the humid conditions. It toughens me up & makes going home like a day out at Thorpe Park. smile

Took a little detour on the way home last night, making 64 miles for the day....

Lovely ride to work this morning, added an extra half hour on too.

Have not uploaded today's strava info, but 785km for the month so far, 20h41m in the Fizik tour tune up. That one is tough!

hehe Yup, I'm not a cycle commuter but I regularly see a 'business' type on a folder riding through Frimley. I smiled and nodded a good morning to him the other day, as I waited behind my car to let him pass without having to avoid me, or my open door. He just looked straight through me like I was something he found on his shoe, his grimace unchanged. Some folk, it seems, would be miserable if you gave them next weeks winning lottery numbers rolleyes

haha! I share the pain, I have a remote commute and usually see the same (and only) 3/4 commuters every day, 2 will always wave/smile/shout hi, two just give me an evil when every day I shout hi. I mean they aint even going quick enough to be in pain!!!

Yay! I can finally add something to this thread.

Finally managed to do the 24.87 miles in 1:24.37 according to my app.

First time I've done it. Was quite pleased with that time tbh.

Isn't it just, I'm on almost identical stats to you, aiming for 1000 miles this month, fair play to those guys who manage 10000 miles per year!

I make that 28.3kph (17.6mph) average. Which is a great average speed for an urban commute, and especially good for your first run in. You'll be cracking the magic 30kph in no time. What's the terrain/total elevation like?
