And if you want to make the 749R go that bit harder, speak to Chris at CJS Ducati. He has a 749R that is rather special. He also did the heads for my previous 158bhp 996 engine.
That's not the one I've seen advertised in Holland with lots (well, some!) 749RS bits on?

The short stroke R engine is a peach. I've ridden and owned many Ducati's and the 749r's engine characteristics is up there with the 888SP4 and Dibbles 996.
Edited that for you smile lol

Nope, two different bikes. There was never a 749RS made.

Srob, Like mine, it's a 749r with 749 super sport kit parts on them. Along with parts used on 999RS'

As an aside, that bike is very good value!

These are the pics of the old(new!) girl. I think its quite tidy, sorry for the mobile phone snaps, once its been sorted and dusted i'll post some better ones..

Bit of a busy work spell then it'll be a biggie service and a dyno run to see how its fueling.

Anything up to 7k for a Carbon R

And buy on 3 things

condition

oh and service history ...
Absolutely.

Had one (nr 250 I seem to recall [age may have clouded my recall])

Lovely bike, only once let me down, when I came to sell it, the battery was flat.

As Dibble says, condition and history are paramount, plus servicing of course.

I'd have another in a heartbeat
