Just to be very clear, I am not their boss. There are four secretaries (two of whom job share) who each work for two to four of us - each has one or two partners (ie bosses) and two or three associates (ie juniors). It's a big organisation and pay etc is decided centrally not by individual partners. I have no power over pay, bonuses, time off etc.
