"Is this the best" is just really a continuation of the, "they're both as bad as each other" argument that the "I'm not a trump supporter but.." trolls have been using for the last month or so.

It's an interesting message mutation, as the "they're both as bad as each other" messaging can be easily debunked by posting a huge list of st that trump has done, and the empty list against Biden (even though they've been trying hard for the last 4 years to dig up dirt).
^^^^^

This is my take on that ‘type of tripe’ as well, it conveniently ignores the mountain of hard evidence against Trumps suitability for office. The cherry on top is to anecdotally quote the Mrs, someone who apparently has no interest in politics, commenting on Biden’s appearance as though it was somehow germaine to the discussion. Laughable.

The "is this the best?" question should be front and centre for ALL American citizens IMO, and definitely both parties.
The question is one of perspective. "Best" leader of a nation, able to stand on the world stage and be respected, be able to unite a nation etc? I'd agree, probably not.

"Best" candidate of a party in a two party system of political governance of a divided nation, seemingly so. The Reps had no choice in candidate. They were all coerced in to nominating Trump. The Dems did have a choice, but had to choose a candidate that didn't alienate too many on the extreme left and at the same time have enough appeal to the swing voters to tip the balance.

It has been said that people get the politicians they deserve.

Well that's one way to get out of doing any more TV debates.
More importantly, get out of the one that he will really struggle with. Assuming he does not have a serious case, he will just miss the next one. But the next one is the town hall debate with voters asking questions. He can’t get away with talking over voters, hectoring or heckling them, or Biden when he is trying to talk to them.

Wish him full recovery. I want to see him out of the White House in handcuffs, not in a coffin.

My OH, who is not prone to political commentary, being mean or any of the other things that I take as sport, saw him talking on TV a while back. Quote "Oh my god. Is he running for president? He just looks like an old man they'e plucked off the street to interrogate".
Well, with such a shallow approach to evaluating a candidate, her reaction explains why politics (here and in many other places) is in such an appalling state. In general, listening to the arguments and policies and then deciding who's worth a vote ought to be a bit more important.

But a question for you both: you're in the polling station booth: do you choose Trump or Biden?

+1 I don't want to see him elected for another term, but the ends does not (ever) justify the means.

How is two weeks isolation going to work? He couldn’t look after himself for 2 minutes.

Quarantine in the White House, not isolation.

Army of staff to bring him what he needs.

Hope Hicks caught it from “some soldiers”, naughty girl.
Well as said with linked video earlier, trump blamed it on the soldiers and police

If you ignore Trump himself for a few moments, take a while to consider the current situation, nanely:

We can no longer take anything the President of the most powerful and "free" nation in the world says as definitively TRUTHFUL

Let that sink in for a moment.

That, that is the direct result of 4 years of having a President who is fundamentally immoral. There is now no distinction between TRUTH and FALSITY when it comes to what the leader of the "Free world" says and does.

That is quite some achievement, and it's hard to understand how the USA can come back from this point no matter who leads the country?

"Do you feel lucky punk" biggrin

Sorry Murph but the only thing thats missing from that is "She came up to me and said Sir..." biggrin because I doubt anyone wouldn't know Biden from being vice for 8 years, especially with all the memes

Damn. frown

I was hoping for photos of him as he goes mad, standing at a window in just his underpants, wig-less, with “HeLP mE” scrawled on his chest in magic maker.

Yes, he has age-range against him, but so did Prince Charles, and he survived it.

Rich, famous people dont die of this. I think.

He'll be fine.

Techniques and knowledge will have improved too. If he contracted this at the start of the year there might have been a worse outcome.
