Not one of my cases, as I specialized in back street used car lots that had found 'friendly' emissions inspectors, but very similar.

Just reading this and wondering whether the Sports Cat I spent £500 on and met the MOT requirements will pass, just as KLM flight KL1076 ascends through 3000 feet above me on the way to Amsterdam.
Dont think 737's have Sports Cats, suspect that one ascent used more fuel and emitted more crap than my car will do in two years.
Then you have China, India and whatever belching all manner of crap out but our government want to pick on the small community of car modifiers, they should really perhaps think about all the companies that will affect.
Am all for anything anti social being banned, my car is currently too loud so have fitted an additional silencer.
Anyone who is into banning stuff because they don't have it or don't like it, should really beware as you dont want them getting a taste for it and end up in a sanitized safe space where everything is uniform and there is no scope for expression.

This Banning culture is really depressing. The world seems to be full of spiteful intolerant people who love anything they consider an inconvenience to be banned, right up to the point where it inconveniences’ them. It’s such a shame that people’s freedoms are being destroyed and it’s so final, such a one way street. Once things are banned, within a generation, society accepts it as the norm and they can never be reversed. Every ban serves to normalise the banning ideology, and so legitimising the next one, albeit with ever decreasing purpose or necessity.
When a new ban is first mentioned, it is often met with outrage, (Newspapers reporting ‘Have you heard what they are trying to do? How dare they!’) But once it’s been in force for a while, society finds it outrageous that it ever used to be allowed!
