Slightly O/T but what do all the anti-Cycling Mikey people think about the drivers that he films?
is it a good thing he's reporting people behaving like dicks? Bad because they're not doing any real harm?
I’m not that bothered. Being held in an endless jam because of deliberately placed traffic furniture, left turn only etc it doesn’t bother me that some of them think fis it a good thing he's reporting people behaving like dicks? Bad because they're not doing any real harm?
k this and go to avoid that traffic island and turn right. Think of the kittens, obviously, but assuming they use their eyes it’s entirely possible to do what they do safely. Some people on here are rather hysterical about it as if they’re mowing down children like ants.I'm convinced that the situation can be summarised as "two bell-ends engaged in frottage" (don't Google that) but don't the bonnets of modern cars pop up when they detect the car is likely to strike a pedestrian, presumably to give a bit of deformation space between pedestrian and engine?
I've heard no mention of popping up bonnets, did the car think Mikey was trying it on too?

I honestly don't know how anyone could try and justify what that idiot did?
I mean you may not like the idea that your terrible driving might be caught and reported by an amateur...but jesus christ, driving into someone and carrying them along? That's some serious mental issues right there!

Yep, no one should help the police do their job.
Potentially deadly, illegal activity, is the sole responsibility of the police and no one else.
He's trying to stop motorists breaking basic driving laws. It's hardly if he is chasing after gangster groups. Potentially deadly, illegal activity, is the sole responsibility of the police and no one else.
If you witnessed a someone unfairly getting beaten up you wouldn't think to help? Walk on past and let that police deal with it once they've been notified and arrive?

If that's his hobby then fair enough, let him do it. I suspect most of us have hobbies that other people dislike but not everyone is as dedicated as him.
People driving on the wrong side of the road deserve reporting but reporting people sat in a queue of traffic looking at their phone is a bit petty. Given that his dad was killed by a drink driver, I'd have thought he'd prefer to stake out some pubs and log how much any drivers have had to drink and call it in. That wouldn't get as many YouTube hits though.

b) Even if he did, why did the person continue driving with him on the bonnet and around the corner, when anybody with half a brain know that is so dangerous?
re. "jumping on the bonnet" he posted a video from the stick camera, you can see . If you think that is acceptable driving on public roads then please return your licence to "I am a t
t and should not be driving, DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AA"

I don't want to watch his videos.....and that doesn't answer what he was doing before the incident. The news report refers to him as a cyclist and he had a helmet cam and a selfie stick. That sounds like very odd behaviour if he wasn't cycling
Isn't London full of people walking round with selfie sticks, or gimbals or whatever? It might be odd but it's certainly not uncommon?

The guy is a total melt. I mean he catches plenty of other melts but hides behind his dad dying excuse to act like an outraged
. No one wins in this one. Everyone is as bad as one another.
He needs mental health advice as what he does is not normal. Just join the police.
Are you sure about your 'bad as one another' comment? On the one hand you have drunk drivers, indeed drunk drivers who kill, and also distracted drivers... who is it that's supposed to be as bad as them?
