We went a long time ago (12yrs!), but really enjoyed it. Staying over was a big part of the experience, looking round the gardens, a nice light lunch, fantastic dinner etc.

We stayed in a garden suite and had a fantastic time. I'd definitely recommend staying there if you can.

On a different trip, we stayed in the Oakley Court hotel...we weren't eating at Le Manoir that time, but it's "only" half an hour or so away. A nice hotel.

We went last year. Stayed overnight; had afternoon tea, the tasting menu at dinner, and breakfast. Service throughout was first class The man himself toured the room at breakfast for chats and photos, which was a pretty nice touch.

Not cheap, but if you’re in the market to spend what that lot costs, you can be pretty confident about what you’ll get.

I’m not in a mad hurry to go back simply because dropping that amount on a night away isn’t something I want to make a habit of. But for an occasion I’d vertically have it on my list.

Been 3 times for the full shizzle. Once years ago and twice over the last couple of years..Yes its a bit chintzy and yes the food is fairly safe and classic by Michelin standards but it the staff have a knack of making you feel special and the whole experience is a treat.

The most amazing thing is it was over 24 years ( pre digital records/ internet) since my previous visit and the first thing the receptionist said upon check in was ‘ Welcome back Mr ***** it’s been too long’. No idea how but they knew I had stayed previously..impressive. Good job I’m married to the same person though smile

Best thing to get there around 2.00pm for your overnight stay in an appropriate carriage..rock up to the front courtyard by the Manor House door and they will ask you to park up in front next to RB’s car ….you avoid the walk from the bigger car park..

If you want to do it at a more reasonable price try going for lunch in the summer, take in the beautiful gardens and stay overnight in central Oxford at the Old Parsonage Hotel for a night…. great little hotel with equally charming staff and a lovely courtyard for dinner/ breakfast.

I’ve been a couple of times. It was enjoyable but I prefer the Waterside. We don’t dine out that fine that often (not much opportunity where we live!) so when we do, we prefer to go to our preference…which is also more convenient from where we stay.

Was very nice. Stayed in Anais a 1 bedroom suite. Mixed it up with the classic and prestige flights plus a bonus glass of Chablis I think as they poured the wrong one. Really didn’t need the cheese and port but was rude not too while there. All in all they do it very well and are very polished.

Can’t remember, which may have something to do with the vast amounts of wine they plied us with at every opportunity. This was nice:

Looks like a decent time! I'm off someone local for lunch tomorrow, not quite the same league but a nice day off for me.

1980 Petrus is on their list at £8,200.

Hopefully David A enjoyed it if he pushed the boat out!
