Ah that’s so cool, thanks so much guys. It’s very much appreciated.
Haha, pairing with Fast X is possibly appropriate given the opening
amazon delivering mon-slow for them they normally deliver on day of release so will have to wait till next week

The third and final book in the trilogy, 77 North, is out in three weeks! 07/09 in all good bookshops, as they say.

And to celebrate, the publisher is re-publishing the first two books on the same date with new covers to match, complete with related car content!

Well I have judged a book by its cover (

Just finished the final book in the John Tyler trilogy. Really enjoyed all three books, but especially the final one. An eclectic mix of cars, typical PH and a location for the denouement which is in one of my favourite places in the world. What’s not to like! I know the author gets on here from time to time, any new books coming?
Ha, huge thanks, guys!
I do look in now and again and I’m always worried about looking in here. You never know what you’re going to see. Like looking at your own reviews, it’s hell but can’t help it
I’m actually just finishing a standalone, deadline looming to get it sent but it won’t be out for a long time.
Sadly hardly any car content this time, it’s set entirely in a house!

Please give us the title and publisher details when you can. I would be interested in a copy!I do look in now and again and I’m always worried about looking in here. You never know what you’re going to see. Like looking at your own reviews, it’s hell but can’t help it

In general authors don’t get much choice in anything - covers, voice artists, or anything else. Sometimes you’re asked as a courtesy, but sometimes you’re lucky and they genuinely want your opinion. Often though, it’s just ‘what do you think about this?’ and choosing between their options for things.
Firstly, I've only just discovered this thread, and by extension, you and your books. Anthrax Island is now on my list.On a related note, ref the above quote, I know zilch about publishing, but I'm sort of surprised to hear how little input an author might have towards stuff like covers etc.
I actually really dislike the trend for copying cover themes, I mean I know it's not going to change now, but it definitely gives me the 'ick.
‘Black Run’ was immensely enjoyable Danny.
It’s really good to have car/watch/trainer content used properly as references by someone who knows what they are talking about and also integrated properly rather than seemingly crow-barred in.
I loved the to/fro chapter structure also.
Definitely one of my books of the year in terms of just pure enjoyment.
