I couldn't see a thread about the Keanu Reeves Disney+ doc from a couple of years ago in here (there is one in the F1 section) but just a heads up it will be shown on BBC2 tomorrow (Sunday 17) at 9pm.

It is a really good watch, although I would have liked more detail on how it all came together. Maybe two hours on that and the remaining episodes covering the rest of the season.

There are 4 episodes so presumably, it'll be on at the same time over the next few weeks.

Really enjoyed it when it came out.

If you enjoy F1 and were paying attention in the 90s and naughties, the other one I really like is the Schumacher documentary. Can't remember which platform that's on but it really changed my perception of him.

If you've enjoyed the Brawn documentary then I can recommend the Porter Press book on the Brawn BGP 001/02 which covers the story in more detail

Just to bring this up to the top of the thread... this is a really good watch. Even if you were not watching F1 at the time (2009) it is compulsive TV, as everyone involved gets to give their opinions. Goodness knows how they managed that.

Highly recommended. +1

Thanks for the reviews and recommendations.

I’ll be honest in saying I’d previously decided against watching out of prejudice assuming Keanu’s involvement would likely mean it wasn’t my bag (I’ve nothing against him personally, indeed I know nothing about him beyond his nationality and reputation as a blockbuster type Hollywood actor. Can’t think of anything I’ve watched him in since Point Break(!)). I shall reconsider.

Agreed a great look back at yesteryear shennanigans

For me, a similar look back at sport was the Aussies beating the Yanks in the Americas cup - really well done and great remembering
