Efficiency. A test which ICE powers cars seem to be able to bypass.

The biggest issue with electric and towing is if you have to top up away from home you have to unhitch the trailer, put it somewhere and go charge. 99% of electric charge points are single spaces designed for a single normal size car to pull / reverse into.
Yup, but if towing a caravan you can bed down for the week and use the cheapest charger. The real problem is when you're taking your llamas to a show the wind resistance of all those heads sticking out the top canes the range so you can't even reach some grotty glory holing motorway venue to watch fat people shout at skinhead sproggs interrupting their casino time.

However, llamas only live for 20 years and caravan owners probably won't book another 20 years so it's a non issue. Smart folk will just keep using ICE.

I’d have thought with a name like donkey apple it’d be an obvious decision to use a horse box for your llamas? We do - it has a curved front and twin axles so it’s both aerodynamic and simple to decouple it before charging… as long as the big llama stands still. The screaming from the other EV owners at the chargers can scare him. They always seem to be on their phones.
We’re currently training ours to operate the motorway services chargers themselves but the lack of opposable thumbs is proving to be problematic.

If you put treadmills in the trailer can't you get the llamas to keep the car charged and avoid having the break the journey?

Tried that. The big one is too clever - he started walking backwards creating an eddy current and the subsequent wormhole that swallowed a Citroen Ami at some traffic lights was very difficult to explain to the RSPCA.

an oxymoron: Cayenne EV.
EV's were supposed to be better for the environment, not massive ego panzers using the same materials as 2 cars and consuming double the resources over their flatulent lifetimes.

In the future could there be a market for a trailer with a generator integrated?

I expect electric cars are configured not to accept charge when "on" but could they have a continuous top up mode?

Or one could just use a vehicle with an engine and calmly wait for battery technology and charging infrastructure to catch up? wink
