Well done. You're making great progress. Soon you'll be at the fun part of trying to put the body back on smile

Tip - angle the tub so it clears the wider top rails of the chassis. . .

Helps for removing it too.

That’s really useful thank you, yes it was a real bugger getting the body off, we thought we’d missed a bolt somewhere but the body was pinching the chassis, just around the mid section.

It’ll be a while yet!

Lots of progress today

Rack looks ok and was last rebuilt in 2008 so it was only used for 7 years hehe

Chassis basically ready to go away for repair so tonight I’ve been on the bodywork.

Specifically cleaning the bd glue that held n the bd heat shielding on the bd engine bay. Urgh.

Wheel about to be sent off for recovering just going for the same again, in fact the only thing I’m going to change in the interior is the carpets - probably dark blue or purple.

Chassis away for repair, body on lift to get the underside and tunnel fully stripped, cleaned and new heat shielding where needed

Yep I’ve used royal before (a few times actually) and emailed them but they couldn’t do it. Looks like TVR central will so I’m going to speak to them this week thumbup

Big day today, I bought a crate LS3.

yikes

Does anyone here actually have one? A Cerbera with an LS I mean.

I’m trying to work out best place for starter - if OEM position will do, I don’t want to faff about with lots of different bellhousings

Congrats on the LS3 purchase! Mine turned up a couple of days ago too, but going in a Chim.

Can't advise on the starter position, although you'll want to go compact type.

PHer's Omerta and NZfan both have LS Cerbs here in NZ, but not sure how often they frequent these pages.

Any idea of rough cost to do the steering wheel?

Nice project.

I was watching Sportmotives latest youtube video when he drove his Merc C63 estate and wondered what one of those would be like in a TVR, but it would have to be an auto...

I've used Royal Steering wheels for refurbs a few times, they're cheap and amazing quality, Polish guy started it years back.

ZF 8hp70 (out of a BMW N63) with a domiworks adaptor plate. Have a look on youtube what you can do with these when controlled by a turbolamik TCU.

Chap called Brummie on here had a stunning example, definitely worth trying to get in touch with him, although I believe he has sold it on.
