Just to try and bring this back on track...

When she was on the Behind the Glass podcast with Sam she mentioned she'd gone 'full time on Instagram', this was well before she started her YouTube Channel.

I see a lot of the #VanLife brigade 'full time' on Instagram too, as well as a good number of other 'short form' creators. How do they monetize Instagram? Or is it just brand deals? Surely it's not enough to justify leaving paid employment?
Brand deals. You would be surprised what some brands pay to get featured.
Was that the one where they suggested she should do Only Fans? rolleyes

I seem to remember Alex Choi saying something a couple of years ago that he was able to make more from Snapchat and Instagram than on Youtube, which is why he stopped doing Youtube and only uploaded a video a occasionally.

Unreal that your awards list does not give one mention to Shmee!

How times have changed.
He s not a young blonde good looking lady though is he ?
The awards would be for the previous year, as I said, Tim would have likely won (imo) in previous years.

What a nice feel good video.

I couldn t get all the way through it. The cringe factor is high on this one.

Edit: this was just recommended to me. Is she looking to replicate Emelia Hartford?

Me too, a bit too sickly for me.

Boobs half out in the thumbnail too, although I see that one is different to the one I saw when I watched it.
I didn't see anything sickly in that, just pure real emotion. The GNX was clearly her genuine dream car, no attractive woman would ugly cry like that on camera by choice rofl
We don't usually agree, but I agree with you here, I didn't see anything cringy about the video, when she was continuing to cry it was clear it was time to stop filming, but you could tell there was no set-up etc involved.

TDC were at one point driving like clowns on the road in the video on first cars
They're spinning the wheels out of a junction in a 1.6 Golf and a 1.25 Fiesta. It's more achievement to get either to spin up than a danger to anyone even in the closest possible vicinity
It's not actually hard to get any manual FWD car to spin its wheels.

Which is fine but I don't really want to see it.

I find the whole super model girlfriend/wife thing a bit too sickly. It was nice that she clearly had a genuine dream car that wasn’t your stereotypical Ferrari or similar. It was also clear that her saying “you can’t afford this etc” showed her as having a very grounded attitude and I genuinely will look at her differently in future.

If you watch the video on her channel you can see her fix something on the car also. A genuine enthusiast.

Admittedly watching newly weds on video is a bit cringe, but it's great to see the joy cars can bring - whatever your budget.

Enjoyed the Not Economically Viable episode tonight with the Copart 1999 Porsche Carerra 4, I seem to enjoy his channel more when he s in his workshop and not in the driveway of his house.
He never did find what was burnt.
Would be interesting to know how that car came to be at Copart. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with it - is his theory that it was part of divorce proceedings and deliberately sabotaged by the owner to spite the other party plausible?
It was arguably the least entertaining of his output but if it turns out there's nothing wrong with it I'm really happy for him
Given the likely crooked background of Mat Armstrong's M3, I'd hope he goes over that car with a fine toothcomb. Seems to be something very suspect. "E3GBB" is listed as a blue 1999 Porsche, MOT expired in 2009. How's that work? The plate was retained by the seller who just happened to have another 1999 blue Porsche that had been dead for 16 years? The theory about deliberately reducing the value of assets because of a divorce would be suggesting Contempt of Court shenanigans. A 1999 run of the mill 996 in a dull colour isn't worth all that much to risk getting found out because of a fuse. Given the private plate has ended up on another 1999 Porsche that handily seems very similar, I would be thinking along the lines of business, assets, bailiffs and a car dealer ("transactions at an undervalue").

Chris Slix’s latest podcast is rather different. He’s purchased a Mercedes V12(M120) that forms the basis of the Pagani engine and is trying to bring it up to the same spec. 750bhp and 7500rpm on a budget. So far the engine cost £3k

I watched that - never watched any of his videos before.

I do hope a) he does it properly and b) is genuine with the costs.

I have a feeling he is going to be like "we did it a 750bhp engine for £9k..... well it made 750bhp once...."

If its anything under £40k then its just a bodge. In reality £80-100k to build a decent >100bhp/L V12.

Wesley Kagan is doing one too - has been for a while actually - the level of engineering needed is mental.

Typical fake title though, 'I bought an abandoned £5million Pagani engine' = 'I bought a shagged standard stripped S600 on Ebay'.

Yeah I hate that and didn't click on it for that reason and that's before I knew it wasn't a real Pagani engine form that crashed purple one.

I'm sure I read that some Pagani owners were buying the SL with the V12 specifically for the blocks, should they need them in future.
