Lovely backdrop - where is that? I ve still got a week before Myrtle can explore the countryside. I think we re doing the coast first. By way of a forest.
Just a decent bit of woodland to the north of Norwich. It's a good place to give her a run on the way back from work.Edith's forest adventures are generally Thetford. And the North Norfolk coast is pretty much weekly

I thought it might have been Edith's forest adventures are generally Thetford. And the North Norfolk coast is pretty much weekly

Love Thetford, Brandon, Bacton etc. Hopefully be one of those next weekend. Transporter meet this morning. Myrtle was loving meeting everyone and their dogs. Seth loads more confidence around children too and sat in the van with a little girl letting her fuss him.

Lola the Staffy - doing well, has lost a bit of weight now and built her stamina up, nice character.
Followed by Elfie the young Elkhound, bit wary of the world but such a beautiful dog with amazing fur!
Then it was new guy Alfie’s turn, he’s only young but pretty switched on and walked nicely……..apart from he found the ‘squirrel tree’!
Lastly I borrowed Tucker for a few hours and took him for a paddle, followed by a good brush. My favourite doggo and we’d have him ourselves but he needs to go to somebody who WFH or is retired. He walks absolutely faultlessly and is such an affectionate lovely natured dog.
All dogs are at Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, Rossendale.

What sort of elkhound is Elfie?
Elfie doesn’t look very much like my late, lamented Norwegian variety, or indeed any other Noggie I’ve met (it’s a very homogenous breed); most of them are stockier, squarer of muzzle, bushier and more curled tail and greyer than Elfie appears to be, but I know there’s a Swedish variety, too.

She came in as her owner has a terminal illness.
Elfie is approx 9month old and has been in for a couple of months. She’s definitely grown in that time!
Beautiful girl with amazing fur! Fun to be out with, doesn’t know a huge amount but is quick to learn and eager to please. A little standoff ish at first but soon warms and leans in for a tickle. I had a Karelian Bear Dog and Elfie’s mannerisms and characteristics remind me of Bert (RIP). Id give her a home but MrsRNP said she is too like Bert and felt she would compare.
