Better late than never - I was waiting for a house sale to go through to fund the car, unfortunately it fell through 2 days before completion as the chain broke down.
It took over a year and a lot of stress to finalise the sale with my origional buyer.
After deliberating for a couple of months I finally settled on a storm grey 650s coupe, I picked it up this afternoon from Thorney, all in all a great experience and John was a pleasure to deal with.
I could not be happier with the car, it ate up the motorway miles back up to the peak district where I finally got to open it up, my god what a machine!
Im looking forward to a few early morning blasts and road trips to get to know the car better

If you are thinking of joining the owners club do it quickly as there’s a meeting of 170+ McLarens on 23rd August. It’s not something you can turn up to on the day as you have to book a place. It took over a year and a lot of stress to finalise the sale with my origional buyer.

Is that a track day as well?Largest meeting since Silverstone 21
I’m musing on mcl ownership at some point, but it would need to see the track regularly. at safe events.

The meeting in two weeks isn’t at a circuit but Greystone GT race team will be in attendance with their race cars. What’s good about them is that they hire Donington and Brands Hatch for testing and once on their mailing list they’ll invite you to evening sessions and to track day events via the club. Extremely low numbers.

I'm also hearing the love for Thorney too. 4k+pa for service pack and warranty seems reassuring for this level of car.
