Are there any legal professionals on here I can ask their opinion please?

The matter is regarding Copyright and payment terms, over circa two pages of text. Possibly fairly simple. Any help would be very gratefully received. Even if it is simply a link to a professional.

Thanks smile

Thankyou anyway smile

To add a little info. I currently hold all ownership rights as I created the work personally. A company has sent me a legal document to be signed and dated as they wish to now own these rights worldwide. Their document suggests I will be well paid for this, as I understand it anyway. However, a representative of that company (who did not draft the document) views the meaning behind the legal text differently.

So it may be a case of simply reading a paragraph or so to see how you interpret it.

Have a look on the law society website. If still struggling ring them up and ask for a few in your area.

If a significant amount is involved, you should obtain insured specialist advice. Try Olswang in High Holborn.

Why not email the person in legal who is drafting it and ask them to explain the clause to you?
