In the second picture, it looks like the driver hasn't even noticed what is going on!

Agreed. Looks like an old biddie at the wheel; I doubt she was above the speed limit.

In a study buried by the US government (Warren and Tignor,: see the full version) it was found that 85% of fatal accidents happened at intersections rated at 45 mph or less. Only the remaining 15% of fatal accidents happened on all other roads rated at 50 to 65 mph!! I think we can see why intersections are so dangerous! THIS is the only good use for cameras! To determine fault of wrongdoing where it can get people killed, NOT where everyone is going the same direction at roughly the same speeds!

Dont have any complaints about cameras at intersections as long as theyre not using the short amber scam.....

With stuff like that going on, it's no surprise people object to bulk prosecution of minor offences rather than focusing resources on the sort of things that really kill people. Only bad driving or walking without due care (ie into the road) gets people killed.
