Cheshire Safety Camera Partnership, like most (all?) SCPs have a page where they list where their mobile cameras are going to be located. Cheshire's is here.

Apart from the fact that the list is out of date, the places covered are all the towns in the SCP's area! No specific road location. They may as well not bother and just say that the mobile units could be anywhere

Are there any guidelines that the SCP should be following? I think an email is required to Helen, but want to check my facts first.

as has been posted many times - they are just guidelines and the SCPs can play their own game.

Motorists are being screwed left right, and centre.

Newspaper report today tells of a new laser device that can trap us from 1 mile away and take our picture to prove who was driving.

As to your question, they say moblie sites need only be signed if they are used more than twice in two months.

North Wales Arrive Alive publish a list of trap locations but I have often seen them parked in places which are not on their daily list. They say they can move the sites, "for operational reasons"

Yeah sure, we believe yer.

Avon and Somerset's page www.safecam.org.uk is a load of total and utter bollocks. Not only are their Talivan locations as vague as a vague thing, but they're also wrong! When ever I've seen a Talivan out on the road I check their site and on that day they don't mention they'll be one at the location I've seen one at. Lying fers!

Right ... so they may as well not bother then. I'll email the SCP to ask why they take the trouble to maintain the page when there's no useful information on there. Prepared for incoming spin ...
