Most of the people on these Forums have an idea about car control and its effects etc etc, they should therefore not be classed the same as the 'majority' of the public.
Some of the rules/laws are blatantly outdated but in reality they suit the standard of Driving of 80% of the publice down to a 'T'.

We mustnt forget that there are a lot of pretty awful drivers out there who havent got a clue about how to drive, never mind safely and progressively and who would quite frankly struggle to pass a basic driving test and whose driving skills have not got any better since the day that they passed their Driving Tests.

Do you think that you could/would pass a basic Driving Test if you were to take one tomorrow?

Yep, I'm the same. Don't do the BSM shuffle.

I think I would pass, but only because I would be being duplicitous on the test and doing it how I should be doing it for the test, not the same as I drive in the real world.

Whats the old saying? You pass your test, then you learn how to drive.

I probably could pass my test now if I really had to.

I would fail. Excessive use of speed most likely.

I would probably just not show and go to the pub instead, then again I feel like that about voting as well. If I did turn up I would pass though

Yes I could pass. But it'd be a PITA remember to signal when no-one else is around...

I hope so, but I would modify my driving greatly to do so!

Scratch that joke, it was lousy and somewhat flea-bitten. Anyway, it shows that I actually do read your posts ... but, maybe I was just nit-picking - Streaky
