police heading to londonistan on m1

20 odd police vehicles from scotland heading down the m1 this evening ,are they a week late or is something else brewing?

Wouldn't you just love to go past on the inside while wagging your finger at them?. Assuming you could do so without exceeding the speed limit.

Saw them all too.
My mate is a local copper here (Northants) has to go down most shifts and wait in the van geared up in full Riot protection mode.
No panic standard shift protection from other forces.

Indeed, but as I once saw on road wars with a car that passed the unmarked car then slowed for the transit doing 45 in a 60 "oooh its a police van, we can't overtake that!"

Personally I've followed and overtaken police cars at over 70, they don't ever bother as long as you are not taking the piss!

that's a fookin long way from scotland though i spotted them between j13 and j12 at toddington .

I saw about 15 riot vans in convoy with panda car escorts front and rear going westbound on the A14 near Cambridge at about 11AM today.

Thats where I saw them I was North bound.

Careful with that, once did it and the police car sped up slightly as I passed, possibly trying to make me break the speed limit, then when I eventually pulled back in front of them they straight away pulled back out and drove alongside me for a distance. Figured I was likely to have my collar felt and my time wasted so I waited until the next junction and didn't indicate then pulled off.

Girl friends cousin works for the bab down in london and he said they have something close to 100 coach loads of police coming down to police the event. two sets of 8 hour shifts or something

Carnival is on Sunday the 28th of August and the Bank Holiday Monday straight after. 11 days early sounds a bit, er, early.
