Is this the white transit that sits on bridges above the A12.

Went through it at c.85mph Saturday morning, expecting my NIP any day.

Bang goes my ten year old clean license, and I'm afraid the police have lost yet another sympathetic member of the public.

Cheers for the heads up though.

Dave

By the way, did your camera spotter spot it? Will be investing in one in the near future.

Nah. Indicated 85 is real 80 mph - they HAVE got better things to do.

Spotted a transit van on the A12 at Kelvedon on Friday. Think they were doing Tax Discs rather than speeding.

This was on the clockwise side, they had some interesting machines on the bridge - and the van was parked so you couldn't see the "Safety Cameras Unit" decals until too late. I despise this lot of cretins.

If that was the one that had the side door open and a tripod in front of the van with what looked like a CCTV camera on it then I saw it too. I thought it looked like an ANPR set-up, but it didn't have the police vehicles waiting a couple of hundred yards up the road, which is unusual, but not unknown.

This one had two cameras - one each for the north and southbound - small cameras on tripods one infront and one behind the transit. As one in 10 cars in Essex are not taxed/insured they were probably having a field day. Guess they had too many for a support car.
