Raises the following interesting question: You attach a couple of additional number plates from previous cars you have owned on the back of your car which of course has its proper number plate, ie car with 3 different number plates. What is the offence if any?
There is no offence for that, I posted it up as a solution to ferk up Kens Con charge on the Sod U Ken website last year....seems it works too.
Don't think it has been tested at High Court as I do not recollect any numpty having a number of number plates on vehicle, but if I was back in the cloth then I would have a go for an offence under Section 43 Vehicles Excise an Registration Act, 1994:
if a registration mark fixed on a vehicle is IN ANY WAY (not defined) rendered, or allowed to become, not easily distinguished - offence &1000 notes.
Does not the presence of other plates make the correct one not easily distinguished?.
I shake my head. Who in their right mind would try such a stunt with their VRM - 100% sure for a pull.
