insurance on a 348 spyder
Discussion
Quick question for the resident BiB this. My mate has just found himself a 348 spyder right price right car etc etc. He needs someone to drive it home for him as he lost his licence for drink driving about 9 months ago. He is a car dealer, and as such has company insurance ie any driver any vehicle. I have the usual third party guff tacked onto my insurance (may also drive other vehicles not owned or leased etc etc). I have asked him if I'm covered on his insurance, and he replied "as long as I'm sat next to you". Does this sound right? for someone who is now disqualified?
Obviously I'm going to check his insurance before I drive it, is there anything you guys would advise looking for.
Thanks in advance
Phil

Hiya,
I believe that for his insurance to be valid whist sat next to you then he must hold a full driving licence and not be disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence to drive.
You would be far better off using your own any vehicle cover to save any problems that could arise, as you know that you are insured to drive that class of vehicle.
One of the Traffic guys on here will know the exact details, or i can ask when im back at work monday if thats any use?
