There was a piece in the Sunday Mail saying that cyclists have now been cleared to ride on footpaths....

The Living Streets bods (formely known as the Pedestrians' Association) went barmy, otherwise it's been pretty quiet.

I recall seeing something, somewhere about a proposal (or it might have been more than a proposal, but I don't think it was a change in the law ... yet), but can't find a link online. The Dail Mail/MoS website does not contain all published articles. If it is allowed, will the councils paint over the cycle tracks they've laid in the roads and return the area immediately in front of the stop line at traffic signals to the motorists? Somehow I doubt it! - Streaky
