This made me smile..
Had to share this regarding the Bibs in Kazachstan
Just recieved an email from a friend of mine whos just gone on a project in Kazachstan and got well and trully greased up !!!
On arrival at the airport he was picked up by the local company rep and driven to the base.......
at one of the local Bib check points he had to show his passport and work visa ..........then the bib held out his hand ........dollars he said !!
Not knowing how the country works ........he handed over 40 us and was happliy waved on his way....
The following day , he and the machanic were travelling into the town.....and got stopped at another checkpoint ........
the mechanic handed over 5 us ..........no problem
mate tried the same ..............
no he had to part with 40 us readies........
the mechanic was laughing all the way to town....
5 dollars was the going rate , but because my mate handed over 40 US they expected it every time , the fact that he is the new base manager didn't help..
