Right here goes,

Ive been stuck in a job for three years that I find unbelievably boring waiting for the police forces in and around my area to begine recruiting again, and after speaking to a few police officer friends, it doesnt look like recruitment is opening any time soon. So I have been looking into the idea of joining the RMP, i know that obviously its a different job role entirely to the civvie police but i wondered if there were any RMP's on here and whether they may reccomend the job, and give an insight into the day to day goings on?

thanks
Ash

I'm ex RMP, the best place to get your queries answered is the Army Rumour Service forum, (arrse) one of the sub forums is the Adjutant General Corps section of which the RMP is part of. Good luck in your quest to join my old mob. I'm not going to give you any information as it would be extremely dated as i've been out nearly 19 years. wink

Currently serving in the Royal Military Police, give me a PM and I'll give you any information you require.

The Army Rumour Service is good for information but very biased when it comes to my job, mainly as we are seen by few in a negative light frown

I don't want to be Captain Obvious, but you do realise that requires joining the Army?

Another option could be the Ministry of Defence (MOD) Police?

Not wishing to upset Highwayman and Badgerbox do not rule out the elite Snowdrops.

Stand to attention you two and salute..... The Royal Air Force Police....far supreme.

You get a bed, clean sheets and knives and forks to eat your meals with.

I'm doing the same, just working on my fitness before I go any further, took my BARB tests a couple of months ago and got the score I needed for RMP.

BadgerBox, would it be OK to PM you with any questions as well? ARRSE, as you've said is a bit biased!

Fair one to you, I can't think of anything worse than being RMP!

Spend your life investigating a missing £20 from one of the Tom's lockers!

Have a look at the Intelligence Corps - iirc they do some policey stuff but seems a more varied job.
