Car crusher Brunstrom
Discussion
Chester Chronicle has a report on Mr Brunstrom and the first car to be crushed under the new laws. He is pictured standing in a scrap yard very close to a crane with a car in it's grab, about to be dropped into the crusher.
It seems the owner is a persistent pest who causes problems for locals by crazy driving, such as doughnuts and handbrake turns on car parks.
While there is clearly no problem in dealing with anti-social behaviour and deliberately dangerous driving, given Brunstroms known attitude towards drivers in general, this could be a disturbing development.
Under the new powers, anyone who "causes alarm or distress to pedestrians" could have their car taken and crushed.
Could it be extended to anyone who receives 12 points on their licence? Logical next step.
Brun has already said, "If you persist in driving like a prat, you are going to be doing business with me".
He was referring to speed limit offences
Is there any penalty for drunken pedestrians who cause alarm and distress to drivers by leaping off the kerb into their path?
BTW, are there no Health and Safety laws about standing in a dangerous area near an overhead crane without suitable protective headgear?
I have e-mailed a scan of the report to various folks and perhaps one of them would post it on here.

Yes, and basically, if you are ON the SITE out of a Vehicle you should be wearing PPE.
Hard Hat, Hi Vis Vest/Jacket, and an Anti-Brunstrom sheild by the sounds of it

I like him, he's "seeeely".
He comes on all big and hard...the big pansy potter!
Best part is he looks like a twat and talks like a twat. No need then for anyone to prove he's a twat.
The big shrek.
What a load of twaddle.
If you need to confiscate someone's car in response to an offence (within reason) then fine. But there is no tangible benefit to crushing the cars afterwards but the visual effect you get for the cameras - and they can't even get that right looking at the pic!

kers like this the chance for a cheesy, artificial photo opportunity so they can hang onto their pointless jobs. FFS!
