Well all I can say is that on nights the doughnut machine in the kitchens at A1 Barnsdale Bar services used to work overtime........ allegedly.

A friend of mine was in Canada, and heard a classic competition on the radio:

You ring up the radio station, and they call a local Dunkin' Donuts. If there's a cop in the store, you win a prize!

I did hear a rumour that in deepest Suffolk, a major police station had a stove, whereas the smaller outlying one didn't. Now I know it would be denied in public, but I did hear blues and two's mean the curry arrives at said outlying police station nice and warm!

This did not come from a serving inspector talking about his training, ok
