Just wondering. Yesterday while on my bike. I pulled out to pass a lorry. Got to the point where I was committed and accelerating fast when I noticed a f camera van on the right hand side or the road. It was parked facing me. At this point I was travelling at around 80. As soon as I passed the lorry I backed off the throttle and by the time I passed the van I was at around 60.

Dumb questions:
#1: Do they check oncoming traffic?
#2: If they do would they be able to zap a bike that was overtaking a lorry?
#3: If yes would they be able to get my number as I passed the back of the van.?
#4: If yes would they bother as I was passing the lorry at the time?
#5: If yes is overtaking another vehicle a suitable defence?

I am only a year away from getting 4 points removed from my licence. So don’t want any more.

Remain optimistic mate....

If you only overtook late...the operator might have checked your speed when you were behind the truck, found it ok and then relaxed waiting for the next vehicle..

Then suddenly, you overtake, he's got to look down the gun again, get a fix on you and then read your speed. Then he's got to crane to look at your plate which is passing him at 145 feet per second etc etc...

I think you've got away with it mate....

Acpo guidelines are something like.... Don't point your gun with a big reflective thingy in the picture stupid....

Suspect you might already have a good signal bounce defence... Oh, and no front plate
