I can't take it any more.

Is it pronounced "Delta F", like a semi phonetic sort of thing?

Or is it pronounced "Del Taf", like a Spanish Welsh type combo?

sorry, just got up after not many hours sleep, on nights all weekend, this has been bugging me for a while and I've finally cracked...

I've always seen it as "delta f" as in the scientific expression delta F- ie the change in speed related to the application of an external force - or am I crediting you with too much intelligence and you're actually thick?

(or is it me and I just don't knw what the I'm talking about?)

DeltaF, short for Delta Force. An elite trained one manned squad charged with blowing up enemy gatso cameras in covert night time operations.

For what it is worth I do not believe you will give up your PH anonimity. There is no way you want people finding out you are the Chief Constable of Durham (he of the no gatso stance).

I don't care what it means, or what it's short for.

I'd lust like to know if it's "Delta F" or "Del Taf".

Or even "d'Eltaf"...

sorry, back in off nights again...
