Idle curiousity + bored at lunchtime means im wondering if anyone knows why over the past 7 months I had seen one police car on my daily commute which takes me on the a350 from warminster roundabout to shaftesburyish, then over the past week or so there has been at least one, sometimes more every day...

Wondering if it has anything to do with the fatal accident that happened on the a303 recently near there, perhaps more of an effort is being made to keep an eye on that.

It might be a speed complaint site or KSI road and as a result is not a 'target road'.

It is a lovely quick bit of road - I`m originally from round there and I regularly enjoy it when visiting folks/friends. The stretch around East Knoyle is a speed camera site although it`s never used.

Please, please, please Mr Plod don`t put a camera up!

You cant beat the B3095 through the deverells , quality bit of tarmac and the car will be getting a sound beating down that road tomorrow

I work in semley, and typically wander to lunch in shaftesbury which leaves me passing 4 speed camera sites without cameras in place (and i only find 1 of those sites objectionable actually!) and having both the hill just after the 303 and the shaftesbury hill on my journeys. Although you would have to be an absolute fruit loop to try and speed up the shaftesbury hill.

You do have to be careful with the shaftesbury hill ( I assume you`re talking about the A350 one rather than the Semley one), but imagine how fantastic it would be if you could guarantee no other traffic!

Oh yes indeedy I have thought that. Of course it would have to be dry too given the way the water likes running across the road everywhere.
