3 court summons

My brother posted a few messages here a few months ago, asking for advice for me after I had been stopped by police. Here's a run down of what happened. I was at the time, working as a courier and was driving one of the company vans while I was stopped by police doing routine stop checks. Two plods basically lectured me in various road safety regulations, and then one of them did his checks on the van and said that both of my rear tyres were below the legal limit and that he was putting a prohibhition order on the van so that it could not be moved until someone had come out to fit two new tyres. He then gave me a producer (which didn't have any indication of what offence I had commited, or for what reason I had been stopped?). Neither of the plods actually measured the tread depth on either of the tyres, or took and notes or photographic evidence (which, correct me if I am wrong, would have been the norm?).
Anyway, I took my documents along to my local station, along with the original insurance policy from my employer and the plod filled in the statement form and gave me the yellow copy. That was just over 6 months ago, but yesterday I received 3 court summons, 2 for defective tyres and one for having no insurance. I took the company insurance policy to my local cop shop and have the yellow receipt to prove it, so I can't understand why I have now got a summons for no insurance. Secondly, a mobile fitter came out and put two new tyres on the van straight after I had been stopped, and I have an invoice from them stating that the tyres that they replaced were worn to the legal limit of 1.6mm (not below!). The other thing is that on my summons for no insurance it states that I was driving a passenger vehicle capable of carrying no mor than 8 people. (it was a transit van full of parcels!).
I intend to plead not guilty on all counts, but how do I stand on the matter? Can I request to see the evidence relating to the illegal tyre offences?

I also forgot to add that I had recieved a copy of a request made by the plod responsible, to my local police station, to check the ho/rt2 register for a record of me handing in my documents, and according to a statement made by the plod that recieved the request, there is no record of my name, or of me having handed my docs in, which is bollocks, because I have the receipt to prove it.

You arent guilty. plain and simple... dont plead it!

Plead "Not Guilty"

Plod will have to go in box and give evidence on oath to prove why tyre was defective - you sure no bulges,cuts etc clearly visible?.

Go to Court early with the yellow form, the Insurance Certificate from the firm, your tyre fitter or his report, and have a word with the Duty Court Solicitor to see if he will take your case on. This is free. Be wary if he suggests an adjournment as charging may kick in - clear with him if the free representation continues.

Do you still have the tyres? If so take them to court too as evidence that they were not illegal

Take to court a proper letter from your tyre fitting company, on their headed notepaper, confirming that the tyres as changed were worn, but not to below the limit.
Get a letter from your company's insurance broker specifically stating that at the date and time quoted the vehicle was properly insured with you as an authorised driver.
Take the V5 for the vehicle together with a photograph of it showing that it is not the type of vehicle stated.
Make sure you ask for your costs, including the time spent getting all the paperwork together.
If you are pleading 'not-guilty' make sure the prosecution (CPS) send you all their evidence, and you send copies of yours to them, at least 7 days before the hearing.
