If I were to lose (i.e. misplace) my current licence or change my address and hence either request a replacement or a modification of details then would that mean that I would have to be issued with a new style licence - which I understand now has a photo of the licence holder on it?

Not trying to evade anything - I just *HATE* having my photo taken ... mainly coz I'm just downright ugly!

I believe all new/replacement passports are the new card style, so yes, you will need a photo, perhaps a smilie will do.

Bums!

Ah well ... looks like I'll have to try the old "vaseline on the lens" trick.

As stated Paper Licences no longer issued.

If a change of address will not cost but replacing a lost/defaced one will attract a fee.

Go to DVLA site Drivers for all the gory details.
