If I felt I was being unfairly treated by the system I would seek all reasonable means of avoiding a penalty. A bit of ingenuity would be OK in my mind.
If it was 'a fair cop' so to speak I would not lie, though loss of license would be a severe blow, as I guess it would be to most of us.
Best wishes all,
Dave.

unreservedly yes.
BUT
id need to find someone to take my points - could take some doing!
If being caught 5 times in 2 years, slightly over the posted limit (whether or not the limit is appropriate, usually not), by cameras/lasers hidden from view, resulted with you not being able to put food on the table for your family and even losing your home.... well hell yes. I would have no choice but to turn into a 'criminal' to try to evade it
An unreasonable penalty deserves an unreasonable response.

Ex29 No, frankly. and I don't think any BiB reading this would go to that sort of trouble unless they had
all better to do.

I have hardly ever seen a traffic car in our neck of the woods, so it will be down to the camera's, which are few and far between, and as far as I know they have yet to develop one that taps on your window with the immortal phrase " good evening sir" Dealing with a police officer could call for a re- think

but with so few on the roads, you have to be unlucky to miss one that happens to be "Hunting" The reason I asked the question stems from the current speed enforcement policy that criminalises otherwise law abiding, fairly normal people and hardens their attitude to protecting their livelihoods
Your post touches on the sinister, is a little rude, and has all the hallmarks of someone with a little power and a bully type mentality, I could be wrong of course, and you may have just been trying to be funny,........... IT wasn't.

yes i would lie........camera picture of the back of the car=no piccy of the driver and no witness to say you were even in the car......if it came to it (and i was on 9pts) i would park the car up round the back of my mates offie,go round to another friends house (who lives 3 miles away) on my mates bike and report the car nicked!........then sit back and wait for a 'kind member of the public (
)' to report the car dumped (the next day, funnily enough)
as i wouldnt have made a claim to the ins.comp i cant be done for fraud, then its a case of calling the gatso as a witness......not that it would make a very good one!
not that i havnt thought about it,obviously.

I accept that I was being a bit of a devil with that post and if it caused upset I apologise. I had no intention of being rude, oppressive, sinister etc.
The intention was to show that if you are going to lie you do not shout to all and sundry for you can soon be found out.
My information, and I have never met Tuscan,
came from this very site with details published by Tuscan himself to all and sundry. I only did two clicks. Now if I can do it, who else?
Maybe a timely warning as to just what information you let slip with???
