Help...gatso info needed
Discussion
silly question..
If the calibration lines are painted on both sides of the road, but the camera is facing towards you, and you just so happen to be travelling above the speed limit when you pass through @ exactly the same time as another car triggers the camera....
Could anything be done?

if it was a Truvelo you only need to get flashed once and they get you from the front.....
I did read somewhere that Gatsos can be adapted to take shots with the vehicle heading towards it, but it's expensive and a hassle to do, so most scamera forces don't bother. But it still *can* be done.
Anyway, if you saw a flash, and if there was only one, you're off scott free I expect.

No you need to be going away from the camera and it has to flash twice.

Nope youre safe as houses. They need at least 2 flashes to get 2 pics.
And in any case you were going towards it, not away;ie; from the rear.

NOT TRUE I'm afraid, the new Truvelos flash once AND can work from in front and behind (depending on how they are setup).
The Flash from the Truevelos in Portsmouth are clearly visible (I've seen them go off many times).

Just being thru Derbyshire from the A628/A57 to Buxton. Absolute nightmare! Looks like the GATSO's have been replaced by Truvelos (Truvelo heads but Lines on road AFTER camera). Bet that was expensive!
hehe, 1 speed camera for the price of two.....
You know why they are replacing them dont you? the truevelos don't emit anything, hence a radar detector can't detect them!
