Overtaken by Audi TT and Audi Estate Cars, both silver, with full BiB kit today on A303 at Popham-Bullington.

Keep your eyes open chaps.

Hey,
Get it right, ok?

It is
mocha-java-frappa-chino, half-'caff, no whip, no-sprinkles.

Does the police TT have the 'as standard' hairdryer mounted on the dash board?

Looking at the time of your post, was this later in the evening ie. 10:00 plus?

If I am working Late I often travel home on the A303 at 11:00 or so in a rather brisk manner shall we say. Generally all of the police attention seems to be around 6:00 or so.

I have seen the TT before (Although I actually thought it was one of the Organ Delivery vehicles) I haven't seen the Estate Car.

Is this something that our resident BIB's can shed some light on? Do we have any that cover the A303?

I've seen a dark red unmarked TT on the M3 near the Fleet services in the past. Blue lights on and, no surprise, a BMW parked in front of it...

I think unmarked cars are just not playing Fair

However on the up side I used to have a White BMW and if I went Belting down the outside lane of a motorway(in a BMW Stylee) it was astonishing the way the traffic would just part before me

Three words:

GET

A

LIFE

Now some more words: unmarked cars aren't usually used for targetting speeders; the guidelines (which I appreciate aren't always followed) are that speed enforcement SHOULD be carried out by highly visible patrols.

Plain cars are an invaluable tool against "proper" criminals, or to target those that regularly flout the more "serious" road traffic laws.

They are useful to target recidivist drink drivers, so the subject vehicle can be discreetly observed. They are great for getting in to the ribs of our dealers/criminals/disqualified/uninsured etc etc. A plain vehicle still stands out as a Police vehicle, but not nearly so much as a liveried vehicle.

If "you" want "us" to target the "bad" motorists, then you'll have to accept that on occasion we will use plain vehicles. If you happen to get caught out by a plain vehicle becuase you drive past it like a tw@, then you've only yourself to blame.

Dibble, Perhaps I misunderstood the purpose of said Smiley I was under the impresion that meant something along the lines of Tongue in Cheek as in it was a Joke ie not been serious perhaps even Joshing could be applied there!. Maybe I should try to be slightly clearer in the future? Sorry to have created any confusion for you (is that the one I should have used?)

"Apology" accepted Ben - if it was an apology, but you know what I mean

Perhaps I should take an extra ten seconds to read the posts...

But plain cars are a great toll (when used properly - see my Target Drug Dealer locked up thread - done in the plain car):
