Question for the Bib:

With a backlit rear plate I'm led to believe that it's no longer possible to get one made legally in the UK.

So with the flexibility of fancyplates I was wondering which fonts are unlikely to get you stopped.

i.e. would font types 2 & 9 be acceptable ? (reason for considering them is a 1 is easier distinguished from an I)

Only the last one (at a glance) would be legal.

Whether you'd get stopped is of course another matter.

By me - yes. By someone with more than half a brain - maybe not.

Thanks - but did you mean the last on the list (assuming excluding the irish font) or did you mean type 9 would probably be ok ?

Last on the list - think it mentioned the font was the current type.

Who told you that? I've recently had one done for my Chim, cost much more than ordinary plates though and doesn't shine through terribly well - but that may just be the crummy bulbs

Ditto. March 2004. £17.63 compared to about £7 for standard one.

Stick to standard plates...let the Bib look towards other numpties instead of oneself...then if one strays above the speed limit, one doesn't have Bib on tail, does one?
