Caught by camera - how long to hear

Oh dear, I think I may have been zapped by a mobile camera unit on Tuesday evening. What is the normal length of time before I get an unwelcome letter through the post?

if you are the registered keeper they have 14 days to send you the NIP

Just for future reference ( hopefully not but may happen) how long if your not the registered keeper?

Say company car, do they get an extended time limit to get the ticket to you as it has to go through a company?

Police have 14 days to contact the registered keeper. I believe they have as long as they like to contract the driver.

Realisticly they have 14 days to contact the registered keeper they have 28 days to respond so you have probably between 3 weeks and 7 in normal conditions.

Subject to certain statutory exceptions, a NIP must be served on the registered keeper of the vehicle within 14 days of an alleged [speeding] offence, irrespective whether the 'owner' is private or corporate.
